Jesus is arrested, tried, crucified, dies and is buried.

A Blessed Holy Week

As we journey out of Lent and into Holy Week we will hear again the Gospel message about the Passion of Jesus. And for so many of us, we will already be raw from first hand experience of the grief that comes with death. In the next two weeks we have an opportunity to reach an even greater understanding of that part of life which we cannot escape, death. We also have the opportunity to learn more about how we can come out on the other side of that kind of suffering in life toward the experience of new life and hope with God, our church community, family and friends.

Holy Week is about the last week of Jesus’ life within the framework of his entire life and passion for the realization and living into the kingdom of God; an understanding that God is the ultimate power and authority in the world and desires the transformed world of peace on earth and good will toward all people.
